A spiked collar is not a classic training collar. It is used for problem dogs or to eliminate unwanted dogs´ behavior (attacking other dogs, cats; running after runners, animals; attacking cyclists, etc.).

A barbed collar has the "barbs" facing inwards. These are not spines in the true sense of the word - they are bluntly ground at the end. The collar exerts pressure on the dog's neck. The main principle is to jerk(!), not to pull! If you want your dog to go slower, jerk him back to your leg. If one jerk doesn't work, jerk again, but more forcefully. The point is to make the dog realize that he is doing something wrong. For the correct use of this collar, we recommend a consultation with an experienced trainer who will show you "how to do it".
