We recommend rinsing the substrate in hot water before use.
To ensure optimal sinking:

• Pour boiling water over floating grains

• Then soak the substrate in ice-cold water for 24 hours – the pores will absorb water, helping it sink

• Note: Approximately 5–10% of the grains may naturally remain floating
